DREAMWORK UNCOVERED 20 Hour Workshop is often the path people choose after taking part in Introduction to Dreamwork. Designed to help participants find greater purpose and peace in life, it will appeal to anyone new to dreamwork, as well as experienced dreamers. It’s taught with the belief that we all have the innate ability to understand our dreams. This workshop is about dreaming, but also about life–using dreams to help us live wisely and well. We dream at least five times every night and by the end of our lives, we’ve spent five to seven entire years dreaming. The purpose of dreams is to help us work through personal issues or karma, and to assist us in carrying out our unique destiny or dharma. Through dreams we can achieve greater awareness, clarity and balance. Each dream is nightly therapy helping us work through problems, rehearse difficult situations, and face our worst fears. We all have prophetic dreams preparing us for future events. Dreams give us the confidence to face challenges, and are the source of true genius, creativity, and healing. As sacred scripts they lead us toward our core of personal greatness. By following their guidance, the world can become kinder and gentler–a place of great respect, compassion, and wisdom.

This workshop is taught in small groups so that participants have an opportunity to ask questions and delve into the meaning of their dreams. It covers all of the information in Dreamwork Uncovered, plus additional information provided in a binder. Topics include: Why do we dream? How dreams help us work through personal issues or karma and assist us in carrying out our dharma or destiny. What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? What is enlightenment? How and why we go forward in time while we dream. What are deja vu experiences and why do we have them? Techniques for remembering dreams. How to keep a dream journal. Examples of dreams that guided dreamers. History of dreams and famous dreamers. Why dreams fell from grace. The sleep process; beta, alpha or REM, theta and delta cycles. The importance of sleep. What happens when we’re sleep deprived? Can we catch up on lost sleep? Circadian rhythms and how they effect teenager’s sleep. Why we have nightmares, night terrors or recurring dreams. Simple techniques to end terrifying dreams. Twenty clues to understanding your dreams. Understanding common dream symbols like falling or being chased. Working on the meaning of sample dreams. How to know if we really understand a dream’s meaning. Meditation as a key to peace, insight and understanding dreams. How to recognize reliable dream dictionaries.

Famous Dreamers Who Influenced History (one hour workshop) Anything of real vision, genius or creativity began at the soul level in a dream. Through dreams we not only plan our path in life, but work to benefit all of humanity. In this Power Point presentation we delve into the life and dreams of: Rene Decartes, Harriet Tubman, Thomas Edison, Elias Howe, James Watt, Fredrick von Kekule, Jack Nicklaus, Robert Louis Stevenson, Mary Shelley, Salvador Dali, Billy Joel, Ghandi, St. Patrick, Abraham Lincoln, Julius Caesar, and Einstein.

History of Dreams  takes us back to Biblical times showing how the birth of Jesus was orchestrated through dreams. In the Christian Bible there are over 70 accounts of dreams and visions that shaped the course of history. We examine the sacredness of dreams in ancient Egypt and Greece, where people spent the night in Dream Incubation Temples to receive answers to important questions or to receive healings. Since dreams are vital to all cultures we look at their role in Islam, the Jewish Talmud, Native Spirituality, and the Senoi of Pacific Malaysia, a spiritually advanced community due to their emphasis on understanding dreams. We examine the three factors that led to dream’s fall from grace: St. Jerome’s mistranslation of the Bible, the emergence and popularity of the printing press, and the Age of Reason, rational and scientific thought.

The Sleep Process and Stages of Sleep is a fascinating look at exactly what happens to our body, mind and spirit while we sleep.
